I cannot use weights they tire me out, and the tread mill is a no no for me, I get to out of breath in a few minutes, Anybody got any other ideas?

It sounds as though you are in need of baby steps, take it easy when you start out try walking at first and gradually go further, try using canned food instead of weights also breathing exercise might help.

It is so easy to be try to start out on the same level as those around you but you can hurt yourself that way. What pound weights are you trying to use? Have you tried 5lbs or 2.5lbs? Take it slow and slowly work you way up.

Have you tried the exercise bike instead of the treadmill? THat is my tool of choice and it is better on the knees. Try rotating treadmill one day the some light weight lifting on the next day.

have to agree, the treadmill may not be for you. lots of people get winded and burned out on that machine. try the eliptical or bike. what about swimming or yoga. work your way up and enjoy your routine.
