My 6 year old daughter just balks at the idea of going outside to play. Always an excuse. . . too hot, too cold, etc. What can I do to change this in her?

Have you tried playing outside with her? Maybe this will help, she is only six and those little minds have big imagination, she might be scared of something although small to you it could be a big deal to her.

are there any potential playdate partners. Maybe taking your 6 yearold to the park with a friend will take her mind off the cold, hot, or whatever. Ask neighbors and church friends with kids the same age.

Please find a way to get her involved. I see so many children these days who are obese and dealing with health issues that even adults have a hard time facing. It is a shame what we are doing to the children in our country and this needs to stop. Find an activity that she loves and let her go for it. If at first you don't succeed, try and try again, but get her moving!
