At 22 a good quailty multi with minerals would be great , supplements for weight loss are over rated. read after some of the Dr. that are on TBN like Dr Colbert and others they have great produce info.

Most overall Vitamins like a-z are all nearly the same, but for weight loss vitamins are not going to help trust me i have been to dance schools and heard all the stories of other girls trying to keep slim.
I chose the fruit way it helps those nagging pangs and replaces some body fluid naturally.

Dr has me on Flintstone vitamins 2X day. Yes I said Flintstone my sister also takes them. I heard from a friend of mine that had by-pass surgery that that is what he was on when he came out of surgery.

here's my 2 cents - not a professional opinion, but i have talked to numerous pharmacists. most daily multi-vitamins will suffice if you're in good health. you can stick w/ generic brands too from target (or wherever you shop) b/c if you check the ingredients they contain the same things as the expensive name-brand ones. if you feel you're lacking anything from normal diet, you should see a nutritionist and see if they recommend taking additional supplements. as far as taking pills for weight loss, if you speed up your metabolism artificially, it may go down to an even lower rate after you are off the pills. look for natural ways to speed it up, like exercise and spicy foods!

I eat plenty of greens and fruit so I feel as though I do not need any vitamins, I try and stay away from any kind of medicine as my friend was taking some herbal supplements and this made her very sick, so I am sticking with what I eat.

as with any other meds, let your dr. know you take a multivitamin. some prescription meds react with some vitamins. i was told not to take my birth control pill along with my multivitamin because the vit can absorb some of the bc pill. THAT'S KINDA IMPORTANT TO KNOW..:):) now i take my bc a night and my vit in the am.

How about B12? I thought this was supposed to be good for increasing your metabolism? Are the B vitamins ok for most women to take?

I think the key is a healthy diet. I know there are a lot of manufacturers that try to make you think you need them, but only blood tests and your doctor can give you that bit of advice!
