This herb is anti-inflammatory and offers pain relief and stomach-settling properties. Fresh ginger works well steeped in boiling water as a tea or grated into vegetable juice. Powder capsules are also available, but I recommend using the fresh root, so after your workout or in pain with your strain, try this.

Aside from soothing sore muscles and anti nausea properties, does ginger have other healing properties that we should know about?

Well the Asian diet is filled with recipes containing ginger and I think this population lives a much healthier lifestyle than Americans so perhaps we should follow this example even more.
