I have done this program in various forms the last 3 days this morning before breakfast which is never something I would have done in conventional exersise. I like it alot and yes I feel the burn even though I have been working out.

I have been doing this for 2 days and I am feeling the burn as well. I am doing the first workout which is the running in place and the weights. I am feeling a bit stiff but great. I am feeling so much better and energized. This program is a God send.

I did my third 3-minute session today, this time though without the weights - it was much easier for me without them and I will add the weights again at a later date. It really is energizing, isn't it?!

I did my first full session today. I actually did to sessions back to back one with just jogging in place with weights and the other with the rotating between 3 different exercises. It was great! I do workout already and I'm use to 30 minute or more workout sessions. However, this workout routine feels much better. It's more effective and it fits my busy schedule as a working wife and mother. When I saw this on TBN I knew it was the answer to my prayers!
Stay encouraged everyone.

I have finished my third day/session, and I love this! I have so much energy and my appetite has really dropped off.

I am trying to walk a little faster than normal and that seems to help, I feel a little more alive and fresh, I also have been using stairs instead of escalators.

That sounds like a good start shelley! Are you walking fast for the 20 second increments and resting for 20?

I did my 1st set this morning and I did not feel the burn. However I'm starting out slow so maybe that is why.

I'm on my third week and i still love it! I have ordered a stair stepper from Walmart to add to my workout. I too would never dream of working out before breakfast, usually, but most days I do now. I really love this and it makes sense. I supposed I should look into the accompanying food plan( I am sure there is one...)
Has anyone read any of ben's books?

wait. 2-4 sessions a day? I thought we were only supposed to do one set a day, 4xweek. I wish there was a moderator to this site who would step in and help us with information!

The video said 3 sets a day 4 days a week in 20sec increments or more if you can. I have been doing this 3 weeks and in 20 sec. spurts which each set is a minute of exercise. 3 sets is 3 minutes of exercise:) Do that 4 x's a week and you have 12 minutes

thats what I have been doing: 3 sets, 4xweek. I have added another 3sets of floor exercises 2xw, one day for legs and one for stomache. I think that these are to be 30 second sets with very little rest in between, just enough to move to the next exercise) and then a 1 minute rest between sets. I'm pretty sure that the video said to never go beyond a 30 second surge. I would like to get one of ben's books to learn more, but I don't know which one addresses this, sooo, even though i'm a 53 yr old grama, I ordered his wife book on getting in shape after pregnancy. Actually i think it may still apply to me because my youngest child is 15 and I still havent snapped back into shape.

Hello Everyone,
My husband and I are on our second day. From my understanding of the video we are to do 3 minutes each day for a total of 4 days per week. I'll be doing a bit more because I teach and I'm accustomed to working out 6 days a week. I'm almost finished reading Body By God The Owner's Manual... he does not talk about Surge Training in that book. He does however delve into Exercise, Eating, Peace, and Time management.
Blessings,
Avril

Hi Suzy, I haven't read any of Ben's books, but he is a personal friend of DR Asa Andrew here in Nashville Asa has a wonderful view on eating. He is a Dr of natural medicine. I see him weekly and would highly recommend. If you saw Ben on TV, he was the other guest. www.asaandrew.com

what kind of diet recommendations does dr Asa give? I looked at his site. I think he may have been on TBN at the same time as Ben Lerner

i know its hard to work out breakfast time but this is the best time of day to boost your metabolism. Starts my day off on the right foot. let me know how the stairstepper works out for you.
