I haven't had a dog in many years. Looking for a good walking dog. Any ideas on a good bread for this? Don't want a dog i have to drag along. Hoping this will be good for my exercise because you MUST walk the dog....

my black lab, Chester, is the best walking dog I've ever had. Some shelters will give you a trial period when adopting a dog. See what works for you. Don't forget about the labs. They are great.

my best walking dog is my heinz 57 mutt. He just showed up at our property one day. Tried to find his owners with no result. Best walking dog ever. He is so happy and we were lucky he found us.

Jane01, you are so right about the labs! My chocolate lab Bo is a bundle of energy, and sometimes I feel like he is taking me for a walk rather than the other way around. It is great exercise to take these dogs out for a walk or run, and just a fantastic way to enjoy being outside and spending time with your dog!
