My exercise obstacle seems to be boredom. I hate to exercise by myself. I have recently joined a group of friends who work out together and it's great. There is always someone in the group ready to go.

I guess I am the opposite. I never want to work out in a group because I am too insecure- afraid of what they will say about me in my workout clothes or how slow I walk. I know, I know. . . self-esteem issues, but I am trying to work on that too. Maybe using this forum will not only help me to reach my weight loss goals but it can also help me to become a stronger person than what I am today.

I exercise with a group of gals also. it is great for support. we are by NO means supermodels. part of the fun of the group is we all laugh at each other !!! when i laugh at MYself the embarassment goes away.

I haven't hit a group to exercise with, but boy I'm looking for it. I think it's going to be the only way it'll work. Maybe soon.

I am a solitary exerciser by nature but I did hook up with another lady in my neighborhood and we meet for walks maybe one or two days per week and I have to say this is really an enjoyable time for me. We laugh and keep one another motivated to go a little farther so this certainly benefitted me even when I thought it never would.
