has anyone had luck with sugar substitutes in recipes. SOme brands are expensive and i don't want to invest in it and ruin a recipe if it is nasty. Seems like just more chemicals we are injesting.

I think you are on to something Jane 01. For several years I have use Splenda in my coffee and finally got around to trying to bake with it. No luck. And I have actually heard that the more we consume these sugar subs the less our bodies know how to process them so we are actually gaining weight because of this! So I am back to the stuff that God created and using this in moderation.

Good to hear- I have never had any luck with any of those substitutes. And they tend to hurt my stomach as well and make me feel very bloated.
