the most important thing to do with plantar fascititis is to stretch you foot. sit on the floor with legs straight in front and grab toes and pull back. It stretches the tendons in the arch. do this in the bed before walking, hurts more in the am because tendons have tightened over night.

along with good stretching exercises, you need to wear good orthotics. Arch supports put the food in alignment that helps stretch out tendons. You should notice an improvement in a few days.

just thought of something else about orthotics. if the over the counter arch supports don't seem to work you can get the custom made. these are pretty expensive. go to your doctor for a referral to a orthopod and maybe insurance can help. worth a shot.

what exactly is planter fasciitis? is that anything like heel spurs? i think i had that once and it was painful. had to get cortizon shots.
is it pain in the arch or heel?
