Hi, Kathryn!

I'm brand new to this site, in fact, I signed up in order to answer your question. I LOVE my neti pot!

Just follow the directions... but, don't be put off as it's very simple to use. Make sure your head is over a sink(!), put the nozzle of the pot into one nostril, turn your head toward a shoulder/while at the same time bending over said sink, and pour the water. It's a WILD sensation, as the water flows right through your sinus system.

The ONLY CAUTION I can say is this: Maybe start with HALF of the recommended amount of salt, AND make sure the water is not too hot/cold on the inside of your wrist. If too much salt, you will BURN your nose... if the water's too hot, you will BURN your nose!

I got mine from Wild Oats, and they said upon purchase, that they would gladly take it back if I wasn't happy. But, like I said, I love mine! I keep my boys' sinuses clear, and that helps them stay healthy. :)

thanks sherryj for all your info.
you said your kid(s) use it also. how old are they? can't imagine my kids letting me do that.
I knew about the warm water but will definately will watch the salt at first. I'm going to order one this week. Just in time for my spring allergies to flare up..
