An article came out today on the MSNBC site written by Martha Mendoza of the Associated Press, it's title was (Tainted Water Kept Under Wraps). It reported that Water Providers for 24 Major Metropolitan cities reported finding trace amount of pharmaceuticals in their water supplies. Federal law requires water providers to distribute annual "consumer confidence reports" that reveal levels of regulated contaminants. Providers are not however required to tell people if they find a contaminant that is not on the US Environmental Protection Agency's list. At this time there are no pharmaceuticals on the EPA list. When asked why they don't tell the public about these findings, the reply was that people might over-react or panic!

well we need to know these things don't we? Do you or others think it pays to have a water filtration system in your home? We do not have one but after hearing about all of the drug waste that could be in my water I am seriously thinking of investing in one!

yes! We have a water filter system in our house! I think it was a great investment!! When you stop and think about how much you use water in not only drinking but in cooking and around the house, it starts to add up!

first everybody is drinking bottled water. then it isn't "green" to drink bottled water. now our tap water could be contaminated. do we go back to bottled? maybe drink out of the nearest stream and hope for the best.
has anyone tried the water bottles with filtration system like the brita ones they use on biggest loser? (love biggest loser!!)
