do you find it harder or easier to get rid of baby weight? if nursing, i've heard it is very easy, as the baby gets so many of your calories.
is this really true?

From my own experience, breast feeding was a great way to lose some baby weight. My problems came later in life, not wanting to waste food or eating a Happy Meal with my kids, mine and theirs. But breast feeding really does help you to get back to pre baby shape pretty quickly!

My daughter is 10 and i'm still trying to get rid of baby weight. Weight is weight and it must all come off.. simple equation of exercise and eat less = weight loss.
i hope to have lost all my baby weight by the time she goes to college !!

Nursing and losing weight. For me this ws the biggest bunch od hogwash. Good Grief! I nursed both of my kids until 18 months. With the first I lost every ounce in 3 months (walking 4 - 5 miles a day helped. Second one (6 years later), it is still all there. Smae weight I had walking into the hosipital to have her. ARGH!!!!!!!!

Mary, you're preaching to the choir. Just exactly how was nursing suppose to help lose weight. I think it is one of those anecdotal myths like while nursing you can't get pregnant (like myself, mother of two, 14 months apart!).
